Meet David Lamond

David has been in support of FlyOnTheWall since we first started presenting at Wintec. He has contributed endless energy to seeing people come together to further develop the mahi of this kaupapa. David has played a significant role in new initiatives this year.
David, currently studies Occupational Therapy full-time at WINTEC, scheduled to graduate in 2026.
Having lived experience with a neurodiverse family and lived experience with ADHD, dyslexia, and family with autism and other diversities, David finds himself passionate about seeing people succeed despite the challenges life and society give.
Currently residing in beautiful Taupo, his love for the outdoors and his children keep him grounded there.
His eclectic work experience and passion for others' success causes him to highly value the privilege of hearing people's stories and supporting their journey of success in an array of situations.
My youth work, and outdoor instruction training, have seen me guide people to overcome personal challenges and limitations in variety of interesting spaces. As a corrections officer, a camp manager, and a soldier has lead to guiding others thrive in the face of challenging life circumstances.
Practical work experience as a building hand, handyman, operations manager, cook/kitchen hand, and camp host has enabled David to assist both individuals and groups with applied problem-solving.
Group facilitation and leadership coaching is highly rewarding to David and has been useful in guiding many people through the joys of self-discovery.
David has also served with land search and rescue teams which has allowed him the experience of palpable relief of discovering those genuinely lost.
It is David’s passion for learning and finding ways to support positive change that has caused him to continue to pursue depths of knowledge in all forms,
David has other qualifications which include:
GradCertPsych, BA, BSc, DOLM and pursuing a part-time master’s degree in psychology, expecting to graduate in 2027.
